Another eruption of Mt. ReDoubt occurred at 6:00 this morning. The plume has reached a height of at least 50,000 ft, and the ashfall is heading our way.
A lahar has been detected in the Drift River Valley, and the National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for the area. The latest activity will most likely impede plans to draw down the oil at the Drift River Terminal today. Let's hope things hold.
I am going to have to sign off now, and secure the home front, as an ashfall advisory has been issued. I will report again when it is feasible to do so.
